Bedford Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple wedding - Jasmin and Jaivik

The beautiful day started with the bride Jasmin arriving at Bedford Guru Nanak Gurdwara Temple with all her close family and friends. To my surprise one of their main guests was Mandy who I knew and worked with and it was interesting to see her in a completely different environment wearing traditional indian dress. Then groom Jaivik arrived with his close family and friends and was accompanied by a traditional Sikh dhol drummer to the front of the temple square where both sides met to exchange flower garlands. Followed by pre-wedding breakfast within the temple's langar hall. And finally the start of the ceremony began with the groom entering the room and then the bride walked in by her parents. The main important traditional highlights of the ceremony were the handling of the groom's scarf to the bride's hands and circling of the bride and groom around the holy book four times. The ceremony concluded with all the guests going up to the couple for well wishes.
